Many Things

Biography

Many Things have revealed another new track ‘Chains’ ahead of their new EP, ‘What We Are’, this coming August. Formerly known as MT, but now under the longer moniker Many Things, the band have just come off tours with both Panic! At The Disco and The Polyphonic Spree earlier this month.

Recorded in Berlin and London, the new EP release shows the ever-increasing length and breadth of what Many Things can deliver. Of the EP tracks, ‘Chains’ shows hidden depths with heart wrenching vocals and brooding production; ‘Incredible’ is tender and uplifting; while the disco take on the Lianne La Havas track ‘Gone’ will be sure to be heard when you’re walking home at 3am on a Friday, or even 9am on a Saturday. The final tracks ‘Dear One’ and ‘What We Are’ carry the sonic representation of a brave face and a shattered heart. Whatever they seem to go for, the result is nothing short of spectacular.

Over the past year Many Things have been stirring up a groundswell of hype, being championed by the likes of NME, Clash, DIY, The Line Of Best Fit, The 405 and Artrocker, as well as winning big support at BBC Radio One from Phil & Alice, Zane Lowe and Jen Long. Not many bands can also say they cut their teeth playing simultaneous residencies on the main stage of KOKO for Club NME and Ridley Road Market Bar (Wu’s).

Many Things delivered the single ‘Alpha Romeo’ at the end of last year, a pop anthem of seismic proportions that was produced by Dan Grech (Vaccines, Lana Del Ray). The record was playlisted at XFM and gained Many Things an avid fanbase that crammed into a packed show at the new Hackney venue OSLO earlier this year.

With songs like these and a euphoric stage presence, it’s looking like the Summer of Many Things. ‘What We Are’ is out on Aug 25th 2014. Many Things play Secret Garden Party this July with a string of tour dates to be announced shortly.
