While the hangovers are only starting to fade, the memories of this year’s Splendour In The Grass are as vivid as ever with the Dew Process office still trying to relive all of the awesome moments over again.
If you didn’t make it up to Byron last weekend, you can still enjoy a mud free experience of some of our highlights. Before the festival even officially kicked off our London lads Zulu Winter got into the Byron busking spirit and played an impromptu acoustic set on Thursday outside the Great Northern Hotel. Watch Zulu Winter busking here.
Fresh from supporting Father John Misty the night before, Saturday saw Mosman Alder winning over their lunchtime crowd with “a collection of gorgeous, delicate sounds.” With barely enough time to pick up a gozleme on the way, we were over at the packed out Supertop for Last Dinosaurs. We could tell you about how loud we sung or how hard we danced or you could watch the Virgin Mobile live stream here and see for yourself.
By the time Sunday rolled around, our legs were starting to ache under the weight of soggy gumboots and we were sure our dancing days were over…until Electric Guest hit the stage. A heavy dose of their soul infused album “Mondo” was just what the doctor ordered and when one set wasn’t enough, the LA duo announced a surprise pop up acoustic set in the Jagermeister Hunter Lodge that afternoon. Check out Electric Guest's rave reviews here.
While it's always sad when the festival comes to an end, luckily we have a ton of great music to fill void until next year!
When jumping off stage into the crowd, be careful that there are no photographer's tripods or leads in your way, otherwise you could end up like this...
