Sarah Blasko has received the J Award for Triple J Australian Album of the Year for her third album “As Day Follows Night”. It is another accolade for this highly successful album, produced by Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John earlier this year.
Sarah Blasko also picked up the ARIA for Best Female Artist at last week’s music industry night of nights. It is the third time Blasko has been nominated for the Award. It is the second peer voted award Sarah Blasko has received, having picked up the gong for Best Pop Release in 2007.
“As Day Follows Night” reached GOLD status in just over three weeks and is well on its way to PLATINUM to join her two previous releases, “What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have” and “The Overture & the Underscore”. All three albums have received numerous accolades including 12 ARIA nominations, two J Award nominations and two Amp Award nominations.
Blasko has just completed a sold out national tour which saw the captivating performer step up the theatrics to rapt response. She will perform throughout the summer at Falls, Southbound, Sunset Sounds and the Laneway festivals. In 2010, she turns her attention to international shores.
