Last year Dew Process started a tradition. We held a pre-Splendour In The Grass party at the Great Northern Hotel the night before Australia’s best festival kicked off. It was so much fun and saw so many people cram to get through the doors of the pub that we decided to do it all over again! So, on Friday, July 24th The Great Northern Hotel will once again host the Dew Process pre-Splendour spectacular.
This year we’ve thrown our arms open to our good friends, The Silent Alarms to headline the show. They’re very special guests of ours all the way from the other side of the world so be sure to give them a grand welcome.
Off the back of the release of their debut album, ‘Ragged & Ecstatic’ and a national tour, Yves Klein Blue will be kicking the jams for the Dew Process shindig. These prodigal sons of the Brisbane label are often caught wandering the halls of the Dew Process office, playing pinball and refusing to go home. They’ll be returning to the main stage at SITG over the weekend, but this is your chance to catch them up close and sweaty.
And who better to get this party started, than Scottish sextet, Dananananaykroyd whose live antics are fast becoming the stuff of legend. Their mid set “wall of cuddles”, or “disco breakdown” paired with their dynamically charged live shows, where their hyper energy, combined with two drumkits and shouty vocals consistently twists the crowd into a frenzy is why these guys are being hailed as the “best live band in Britain”. Dananananaykroyd’s debut album ‘Hey Everyone’ is out on July 17th through Dew Process.
Join in the Dew Process Pre-Splendour In The Grass Party on Friday, July 24th with The Silent Alarms, Yves Klein Blue and Dananananaykroyd! It’s going to be one hell of a way to kick off the weekend!
