Electric Guest release new single 'This Head I Hold'  27 February 2012

From the moment the tinkling piano introduces Electric Guest’s first single ‘This Head I Hold’, it is near impossible to stop your feet from cutting the rug. It’s a genre-blurring mix of danceable indie, soul and atmospheric electro combined perfectly to make a dance floor hit. And with the likes of Danger Mouse behind the production desk who would expect any less?

Electric Guest have had the US in a frenzy with their seamless mix of soulful rock meets RnB swagger.  Add to that lead singer Asa Taccone’s effortless falsetto and former roommate, longtime friend Matt Compton’s funk beats and you’ll find yourself captured in an oxymoronic musical world of modern retro.

After a month-long residency at LA’s iconic The Echo, Electric Guest are taking their live experience on the road. Hailed by NYLON as “pretty much irresistible” they will be playing a string of shows on the road to Austin’s South by South West. They will then be trekking around the US fulfilling the requests to appear on the crème de la crème of late night TV.

Already highlighted as a band to know by MTV’s Push, Rolling Stone and Filter Magazine, Electric Guest will soon have Australia banging to the sound of their utterly infectious drum when debut album “Mondo” hits shelves.

Electric Guest’s ‘This Head I Hold’ is taken from their album “Mondo” out Friday 27th April.
