Growing up and letting go is at the heart of Idle Light, the ethereal second album from Queensland artist Clea. The long-awaited follow-up to the 2018 debut album Vermillion, which included the award-winning single ‘Dreaming’, Idle Light is a dreamy swirl of ‘mantra pop’, blending elements of pop, indie and electronica to create a sound that is uniquely Clea. This is music to dive headfirst into, letting each part of it sink deep into your bones. Idle Light charts the soaring highs and crushing lows of young adulthood as Clea faces the realities of late-twenties life head-on with her romantic and creative partner Alistar Richardson (The Cairos, Zefereli). From hard conversations and self-reflection, these blissful, transcendent songs were born, inviting the listener to slow down and embrace their own spirituality.
