As the highly awaited arrival of UK’s breathtaking trio draws near, Secret Sounds are pleased to announce Vancouver Sleep Clinic will join London Grammar’s three maiden headline shows.
London Grammar’s live show is already recognised across the northern hemisphere as a soaring and haunting display of musicianship. It comes as little surprise, with their #2 debut album ‘If You Wait’ being one of the most critically acclaimed releases of 2013. Australia has proven itself ready to also be captivated, with fans flocking and shows selling out in less than an hour.
Although all three shows still adorn a bold sold out, Secret Sounds have a special Christmas treat for those on the Secret Sounds mailing list; limited tickets to be released on Friday 13th December. Sign up to the mailing list here, prior to 9am on Friday 13th December to access the tickets.
London Grammar have made the Christmas treat even sweeter, last week revealing a new video for rousing cover of Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’.
Vancouver Sleep Clinic is the perfect preface to London Grammar’s slow-burning and soulful sounds. Tim Bettinson, the man behind the Vancouver Sleep Clinic moniker, credits countless lonely and sleepless nights in June earlier thisyear as the tinder for his stunning new track ‘Collapse’. Within the cold walls of his bedroom, Tim laid his reverb soaked vocals into a pool of atmospheric pads and strings. Listen to it here.
Vancouver Sleep Clinic stepped into the world earlier this year via ‘Vapour’ – a track that gained a national nod as finalist of the 2013 triple j UnearthedHigh competition. Now, through unveiling ‘Collapse’ last week, the hype around Bettinson has gone global - in a mere 48hrs Zane Lowe had pegged it as his ‘Next Hype’ track on BBC Radio 1.
London Grammar’s debut album If You Wait is out now via Dew Process/Universal Music Australia. Available on iTunes.
