We're amped to announce the latest addition to our bourgeoning roster – Los Angeles’ duo Electric Guest. Lead by the dynamic Asa Taccone paired with Matthew Compton, Electric Guest has the ears and heart of the Grammy Award-winning producer Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, Broken Bells, Gorillaz), who signed on to co-produce their debut album.
Already setting the blog-a-sphere a buzz with KROQ and KCRW singing their praises, Electric Guest produce psychedelic soul-pop melody-driven, get up, get down danceathons with a modern twist. Electric Guest took CMJ in New York by storm recently with several shows getting the industry a flutter.
“A lingering conversation (and walk to your car)with your crush after last call; the nostalgic daydreams of memorable decade-old moment in time; the seductive taste of someone’s breath right before you kiss them. Every once in a while there is a band that breaks through the stale inanimate boundaries of modern musical genres and seems to psycho-sonically sum up the story of one’s life. That band has become Electric Guest.” KROQ
Please join us in welcoming our new bedfellow with a little foreplay in the form of a free download of ‘American Daydream’ at www.facebook.com/dewprocess.
